ARIZ-H

Ziricote

De Ariz-H,

inspired by the guitars of the famous masters.

But with a contemporary design. The last model of Riemersma Guitars is the Ariz-H and the Ariz-R. Derived from the famous master Luthiers of the world, but with a completely personal vision as regards the braces on the top. This guitar has a nice warm bass with a long sustain and sparkling high over the whole range.

“This concert guitar has a nice powerful bass and clear high. The balance between the basses and trebles is fantastic and has a perfect transition between low and high. All in all a great guitar to play.” P.J. den Hartigh

The standard dimensions of a Ariz-H guitar are:

– 65 cm Scale.

– Total length 98.5 cm.

– Length of the body 48.5 cm.

– Width of the body bottom 37.5 cm.

– Width of the body top 28 cm.
– Waist 24 cm.

– Thickness of the body 9.5 cm.

– Width of the finger board at topnut 54 mm.

– Width of the finger board at 12th fret 64 mm.

The wood for guitars is personally selected by Ramon Riemersma and he only uses high-quality wood and parts.

An important process during the construction of a guitar to keep the quality of the wood in top shape.
Therefore any Riemersma guitars are built exclusively at the correct humidity and temperature.

Features

This is my last guitar from the Ariz-H series, derived from the famous luthiers, with a back and sides of Ziricote and a sound board of European Spruce.

Sound

This concert guitar has a nice powerful bass and clear high. The balance between the basses and trebles is fantastic and has a perfect transition between low and high. All in all a great guitar to play.

“This Ariz-H of Ziricote has an European Spruce AAA sound board,  inlaid with a handmade mosaic of through-and-through coloured wood veneer. It has as a traditional neck of Cedrela with modern design to the head. The guitar is equipped with hand-made brass and ball bearing machine heads by the German company ‘ Scheller ‘ with Snakewood buttons, resulting in a precision that is unprecedented.”

“Als ik vervolgens naar het klankgat kijk dan snap je niet hoe Ramon deze projectie en balans genereert. Laten we even vergeten, dat we nuchtere Nederlanders zijn en voor één moment denken, dat we een bijzondere bouwer hier hebben, die zich met de besten van de wereld kan meten.

Ik weet het, hij steekt zijn kop ruimschoots boven het maaiveld uit, maar luister naar zijn instrument en respecteer wat je hoort. Veel beter kom je in bouw of klank niet tegen.”
